SERPENTINE TYPEFACE

CONCEPT

The project aimed to understand the interrelated typographic and graphic histories.

Then analyze and synthesize what

I've learned to produce a modular typeface made of geometric components.

Serpentine is a sans serif typeface inspired by

the movement of a snake. The intricacy of the snake's motion was transformed into geometric forms composed

of squares and quadrants of a circle.

Each letter was made of two elements in different colors.

One is more angular and tends to a regular modular typeface,

the other is more dynamic and tangled.
